What is the online mentoring program "From Expert to Entrepreneur"?

Before starting the business, you were an expert in a certain field – an architect, programmer, designer, carpenter, designer, therapist or some other expert.

When you become an entrepreneur, your role changes overnight. As a director, you start taking care of sales, marketing, finances, administration, client management, supplier negotiations, employee selection, and more. Because of the many roles you switch between on a daily basis, you find yourself putting out fires in your business.

The goal of this program is to provide you with entrepreneurial skills and knowledge so you can stop putting out fires.

By registering for this training, you get the opportunity to buy into other people’s mistakes and thus save yourself time and money in the long run. What topics are covered and how does the training work?

The program covers the following topics:

  1. Business communication and the importance of negotiations
  2. Profit tax, VAT, income tax
  3. How to plan business liquidity
  4. What do your financial statements say?
  5. Common mistakes made by accountants
  6. Cheap financing opportunities and how to choose business investments
  7. How to manage time effectively
  8. How to lead a team
  9. The importance of communication style with clients and maintaining relationships
  10. Negotiation with suppliers
  11. How to organize business processes
  12. How to recognize risks in business and how to prepare for them

 

Education lasts 4 months. Enrollment in the new round of the mentoring program is open, and the start of the program is in October.

By signing up for the program, you will receive 15 video lessons that you will have access to for 4 months, and which you can watch whenever and wherever suits you during this period. With each lesson in video format, you will also receive manuals that will help you more easily apply what you have learned in your business. Also, during the program, you will have full support from two experienced mentors for your specific questions, i.e. problems that you will face in your business.

You will meet with your mentors and other program participants via online group meetings a total of 12 times during the program. Group work will help you put yourself in someone else’s shoes, and you will also be able to learn about other challenging entrepreneurial situations.

If you are interested in the most common mistakes in applying for grants or want to learn from successful project examples, then this is the ideal education for you! In addition to discovering who, how, and why someone receives EU support, you will learn about your obligations before and after receiving the grant. We will also guide you through the "tricks" in project design.

  • The education is conducted in two modules: Grants yesterday, today, and tomorrow, and Preparation for winning investments.
  • Duration: 2 working days, 5 hours per module
  • Schedule: Quarterly or by arrangement

  • How to increase the chances of receiving support

Fundamentals of finance

If you are a beginner entrepreneur and lack basic knowledge in finance and accounting, this is the education for you! We will guide you through fundamental financial concepts that every entrepreneur must understand. We will explain basic accounting processes and teach you how to recognize risks in financial operations. Additionally, we will cover topics related to investments and the fundamentals of communicating with external financial collaborators.

  • Duration: 3 working days, a total of 12 hours
  • Schedule: Quarterly or by arrangement
  • Location: Wespa Spaces or online

  • Basic financial concepts
  • The importance of collaboration with an accountant and how to communicate successfully with them
  • Reading your own and competitors' financial data
  • Identifying liquidity risks
  • Where to find funds for regular and investment business operations

Risk management

As an entrepreneur, you have learned to intuitively manage risks in business, but if you are aware of the importance of risk management in turbulent times and want an objective approach, then this Happtory education is for you! We will guide you through various business risks with practical examples and teach you how to recognize them in a timely manner.

  • Duration: 1 working day, 6 hours

If you're an entrepreneur with a desire and idea for business development, and you need basic knowledge of strategic planning but don't know where to start, then this is the perfect education for you! We will teach you what strategic planning is, what it consists of, and why it is important to develop a business strategy. We will introduce you to simple yet effective tools for daily and long-term planning.
