Micro, small, medium-sized, mid-cap, and large enterprises* that, at the time of grant payment, have a registered seat or branch office in Croatia, have been established for at least one year before the project submission date, are registered for eligible activities, have at least one employee in the previous year, and are not companies in financial difficulty.
Project partners may include businesses and/or research and knowledge dissemination organizations.
Unacceptable activities:
Mid-cap and large enterprises, as applicants, may receive regional aid exclusively for an initial investment that creates a new economic activity in the respective area.
The call supports research and development activities, including industrial research (TRL 2–4), experimental development (TRL 5–8), and the preparation of feasibility studies. The project must contribute to at least one S3 priority area.*
Eligible costs include staff salaries for employees working on the project for both the applicant and business partners, depreciation of instruments and equipment used in the project, external research services, intellectual property protection application services, feasibility studies, and other project-related expenses (such as materials, consumables, project management, public procurement procedures, communication and visibility activities, etc.; up to 25% of the total project value).
Indirect costs are also eligible (including rent, utilities, maintenance of premises, etc.; up to 15% of eligible staff costs), along with other related expenses.
The project duration must not exceed 36 months.
The applicant must demonstrate a secured financial structure for the project, either through a loan or own funds (a combination of both is not allowed).
